Understanding Fractional CIO Services

What Is A Fractional CIO?

A Fractional Chief Information Officer — or Fractional CIO — is a senior executive who provides executive-level IT guidance and leadership on a flexible, part-time or retainer basis, helping organizations design and execute a strategic technology roadmap without hiring a full-time CIO.

This emerging technology consulting model is a cost-effective alternative for growing and mid-sized businesses that have outgrown basic IT support but do not yet need, or cannot justify, a full-time C-suite technology leader.
